There are sunsets of crimson

And sunsets of gold

Sunsets of orange, yellow,

And maroon I am told.

But the most beautiful sunset

That one could behold

Is the sunset of life,

In loving people who've grown old.

Their colorful warmth fades not,

When they cross the finish line.

Their character withstands life's trials

To the end their radiance does shine.

With honor of gold

With God as their friend

Their character shines

To the very end.
